Why This Site Exists
The web is full of great ideas, but they are scattered throughout forums and blogs, and it takes effort to find the gems. Most of these ideas are storyline hooks, not actual plots. Plus, once you got a plot figured out, you still have to write an actual story around it. So, how cool would it be to have a site that has ready-to-play quests that have a nice plot and some prose to go along?
The Website
Pathstrayer.com is created by Jof Neuhaus (Joah) and ‘launched’ in september 2022. Meaning; the url was claimed while the site was barely built. At the time of this writing; the site is still in its infancy. It would be great to improve on features in the future, such as user accounts that holds a list of ‘favorite’ quests, for instance.
The Journey
This website started out of interest for my hobby of DM-ing for a D&D players group. For now I’m flying solo, and i view this website as a playing ground. Generating content takes time, and I will keep adding as much as my spare time lets me. However, if this website gets picked up by the community I would love to let it grow.
The Community
This site is a work of love for the game and for the community. You all have inspired me so much throughout the years, I hope to build something to give back. One of my dreams is to publish content from you, a visitor of this site. Another would be to improve this site based upon feedback from the community.
Advertisements
Making this site takes a lot of time and effort. It also requires investing money. In order to be able to make this site viable in the long term; it needs to be able to pay for itself. That means some form of monetization. For this reason, I’m looking into displaying ads in the future.
Who's Joah?
As a DM I am constantly looking for stories I can tell to my players.
